No aesthetic updates
The new Apple MacBook Air 13" 2024 M3 presents a design with hardly any new features. Like its predecessor, it incorporates an impeccably finished aluminum chassis and is available in four discreet colors: midnight, silver, star white and space gray.

The only change compared to the previous generation is presented by the midnight variant that, according to the manufacturer, is no longer a fingerprint magnet thanks to its new anodized coating.

Screen, always excellent
With its high contrast and one billion colors, the 13.6" Liquid Retina panel provides outstanding image quality. However, many of us would like to see a refresh rate at 120 Hz instead of the 60 Hz offered by the brand.

On the other hand, the screen has a generous maximum brightness of 500 nits that ensures comfortable outdoor use, as long as direct sunlight is avoided.

As for the keyboard, its adjustable feedback and large keys allow typing with total comfort in different light conditions.

A premium chip and passive ventilation
The new M3 SoC improves CPU performance by up to 60%, while optimizing the graphics section with new features.

The latter include mesh shading and ray tracing, algorithms that enhance visual effects and create more realistic scenarios in video games.

As far as thermal performance is concerned, the laptop resorts to passive cooling: its aluminum chassis dissipates heat well and keeps the temperature under control without the need for a fan.
